Enterprise Martial Artist Students Doing Great
Only four students from Conley’s Keichu-Do Academy competed at the 44th annual Southern Region Open Karate Tournament on 2 November 2024, which was held at the Dothan Civic Center, Dothan Alabama. The warrior’s winnings started off in the Brown black belt division age 15 to 17 with Lennon Chandler placing 1st in forms, weapons and 2nd in fighting. In the 13 & 14 year old brown belt division Hector Cruz placed 1st in weapons and fighting. Also, in the 9- and 10-year-old brown belt division Sebastian Steger placed 2nd in forms and 3rd in weapons. While in the 7 and 8-year-old beginners division Zuriel Ramos placed 1st in forms. This competition was the last tournament for 2024 for the warriors.

Enterprise Martial Artist Students Victorious
Only eight students from Conley’s Keichu-Do Academy of Martial Arts competed at the 2024 Sunshine Classic Open Karate Tournament on 14 September which was held in Panama City Beach FL. The warriors winnings started off in the adult black belt division age 18 – 39 with Jace Himes for the second time in the adult black belt division getting first place in forms, fighting and weapons. His winnings led up to his victorious accomplishment in winning the overall Grand Championships in both forms and fighting. In the brown belt division age 15- to 17-year-old, Lennon Chandler placed 1st in forms, weapons and 3rd in fighting. While in the brown belt division age 13- & 14-year-old, Evan Maquet placed 1st in both forms and weapons. Hector Cruz placed 2nd in both forms and weapons. In the 7- & 8-year-old brown belt division, Sebastian Steger placed 2nd in forms. In the intermediate division ages 14-17 Mary McBride place 1st in forms and 3rd in fighting while Ethan Maquet placed 2nd in forms. In the 7- & 8-year-old beginners’ division ages 7- & 8-year-olds white, yellow and orange belts Zuriel Ramos placed 2nd in forms. The warriors will compete next at the Dothan Civic center 2 Nov 2024.

Only seven students from Conley’s Keichu-Do Academy competed at the 2024 South Alabama Karate Open Tournament which was held in Andalusia, Alabama on 8 June 2024. The warriors’ winnings started off in the black belt division age 18 – 39 with Jace Himes for the first time in the adult division placing 1st in forms, fighting and weapons. Jace also won the black belt Grand championship for forms. Also, in the brown belt division age15 & 17-year-old, Lennon Chandler placed 1st in forms and weapons he also won the Grand Championship for all brown belts and under grand championship division which was for any person that won a first place could compete for it regardless of age. Hector Cruz place 1st in both forms and weapons in the brown belt division ages 11 & 12 In the brown belt division age 13&14 Evan Maquet placed 1st in weapons and 2nd in forms. While in the intermediate division ages 14-17 Ethan Maquet placed 1st in forms. In the 7- & 8-year-old advance division Sebastian Steger placed 1st in forms, 2nd in weapons and 2nd in fighting. In the beginner’s division ages 7- & 8-year-olds white, yellow and orange belts for the first-time competing Zuriel Ramos placed 3rd out of 18 competitors. Great Job

Only four students from Conley’s Keichu-Do Academy competed at the 34th Annual Southern Open National Martial Arts Championship which was held in Columbus Georgia on 17 February 2024. This tournament was the first tournament for 2024 which started off the tournament season for the Keichu Warriors. The winnings started off in the brown belt division age 12 & 13 with Evan Marquet placing 1st in forms, and weapons. In the intermediate division age 12- & 13-year-old Hector Cruz placed 2nd in both forms and fighting. Also, In the intermediate division age 16- & 17-year-old Ethan Marquet placed 1st in both forms and fighting. In the 8- & 9-year-old brown belt division Sebastian Steger placed 2nd in forms and fighting also he placed 3rd in weapons
